Making Your First $1k as a Virtual Assistant

We're gonna talk about making your first 1K as a virtual assistant. When I first started my virtual assistant business, 1K was my big goal.

I thought that was the hardest thing to do. And that was just a huge number to me until I did it. And I did it quicker than I thought because I started to learn and understand what made my clients buy.

And most importantly, what made them buy from me. So I'm going to share with you everything that I did that helped me secure my first 1K in my virtual assistant business, even as a newbie business owner.

So first thing, you need to create a package that speaks to your dream client's needs. But not just any need, but a big enough hole in their business or life that they need to take care of it today.

So many virtual assistants focus on the services that they're offering, social media management, admin support, email marketing, but they don't focus on the transformation that it facilitates for their clients.

And that's the real reason any human being buys anything. We don't buy the shoe rack to have this bulky piece of furniture in the corner of our room. We buy it because we want the organization that it brings into our lives.

You know the saying, everything needs a place. Think about when you're creating your packages. Think about this when you're creating your packages.

Yes, you're scheduling posts for your clients, but what is that really doing for them? Helping them remain visible while they focus on other tasks, chop their to-do list in half.

Maybe you work while they sleep, so they feel like they're ahead of the day as soon as they sit at their desk every morning. So yes, the tasks are good, but baby, the transformation is sales.

And how you communicate the value in your high-ticket services is what's going to help you convert.

Number two, and I'll say this over and over until I'm blue in the face, because it's just that important, and so many virtual assistants run from it.

But if you want to make a lot of money, and you want to do it ASAP, then baby, you have to raise your rates. My low-ticket offer as a virtual assistant is my signature 1K per month package.

So making my next 1K is only one client away, which is way easier than trying to convert five $200 clients. Get out of the mindset of being the cheapest. Step into your inner Tarjay or Gucci instead of Walmart and Dollar Tree.

I always want to be luxury, premium, and so I focus on how I can set myself apart and charge more for what I deliver.

Maybe you invest in courses, coaches, tools to get ahead of the game and step into your authority, or maybe you own your power and raise your rates, even through the fear of what you'll lose by focusing on what you'll actually gain.

Now, here's the real thing that changes the game. Identifying, finding, and attracting only clients that need your unique services that can also afford your rates today, and it's a no-brainer to sign up right now.

And this is where a lot of virtual assistants struggle because, yes, you can slap a higher rate on your services, but how do you find people who can afford you and are ready to buy now?

A little tip I like to use is that the business owner should be making at least two to three times my rate to realistically afford me and be a long-term client.

And you have to be an investigator to find that out. I like to dive into my potential client's business and lifestyle through social media and their website to identify not only if they can afford me, but honestly, if I like their vibe. I want to work with dream clients.

And if I wanted to make a lot of money but hate what I do every day, it's so much easier just to go secure a day job.

No way I want to work my booty off to build a business filled with clients that make me cringe every time I see their name pop up on my Slack.

So create a checklist with a few identifying markers that you can use to verify if this is your dream client all the way around, and then you pitch.

If you really want to make your first or your next 1K as a virtual assistant, the process is super simple. I feel like building a virtual assistant business is the easiest and quickest way to make money online because we're so in demand right now.

But you need to set yourself up for success with a signature package that aligns with the needs and wants of your clients if you want to actually convert with ease.

Shift your focus from services and tasks to the transformation that lures your potential clients in and bills that like, know, and trust factor faster than the Energizer Bunny.

And if you want to make money fast, then you need to set a rate that will get you there with few clients. Raise your rates, then raise them again. And once you raise them, you have to be able to identify the dream clients in your price range.
